The longest running and most prestigious international competition for three individual sports is taking place in Madison, Wisconsin, U.S.A. 3-8 February 2025.
The World Ice and Snow Sailing Association [ WISSA] Ice and Snow Sailing World Championships is the frozen water version for 3 well known wind sports.
Windsurfing - since 1980
Wing Sails - since 1991
Kites - since 1993
These water sports were adapted to winter snow and ice almost as soon as they were invented. They move at speeds considerably faster than in their originally intended environment.
The event in Madison will showcase some of the world’s best riders. World Champions will be crowned in both Elite and Recreational divisions. Sponsors will enjoy excellent exposure, riders will have highly qualified international judges, and spectators will be surrounded by a vibrant schedule of events.
