Pärnu is hosting WISSA at it’s 40th event, from 10th to 15th of February 2020. The competition is organized by the same committee who was responsible for WISSA 2016 and Winter Surf Europeans 2019. The organizing authority is Estonian Yachting Union.
We are happy to welcome all winter surfers from all around the world: kites, wings, sleds. There will be three disciplines for wings and sleds: short track slalom, course race and GPS speed; and two for kiters: course race and GPS speed.
Pärnu is a charming seaside city in Western Estonia, known for its spas and beautiful beaches. It is the fourth biggest city in Estonia. WISSA is planned to take place on the ice of Baltic sea, making it quite a unique experience. Pärnu Bay is shallow so, there is usually plenty of ice during the winter. The exact location will depend on the ice conditions in the area.
